Users who have recently switched to a Mac are frequently on the lookout for a right-click on their Magic Mouse. The good news is: you can’t see it, but it exists! Yes, it does. Or, at the very least, turn it on! Now the real question is how to right click on apple magic mouse?

All iMac purchase come with an Apple Magic Mouse. If you take a closer look at it, you will notice a peculiar feature of this mouse; there are no left and right mouse buttons. To use it, one simply click all the way in at once. There is also no mouse wheel like those found in others, instead, this one comes with a ‘rub-sensitive’ surface.

If you’re used to other operating systems, this can quickly become annoying, we’ve had a lot of users complaining about it. Fortunately, as promised, the right click function is also available on this mouse. Follow the steps below to know how to use the right-click.

  1. Click the apple on the far left of the menu bar at the top of the screen, followed by System Preferences.
  2. Then select Mouse.
  3. Enable the Secondary Click option in the panel that appears (with the Point & Click ‘tab’ selected).
  4. Then select the option in the selection menu below,
  5. Click on the right side (or left side, if you are left-handed).
  6. You now have a right mouse button!

Note: There is also the option to change the direction of the mouse scrolling to your liking. This is useful if you’re among those who can’t get rid of the wheel feeling.
